Quality Control Measures At Umbrella Factory Premises
Written by admin April 27, 2020
During an umbrella quality inspection, the procedures normally follow AQL 4.0 inspection method, but on special case we would follow any inspection method which the customers request. Quality control and inspection procedure includes the following functions:
- Checks all the fabric/accessories to ensure that quality/color conforms to the customer requirement.
- Our Quality Assurance and merchandising team to evaluate pre-production sample, if the factory is ready for pre- production.
- Our Quality Assurance team evaluates pre-production and then finally approve for bulk production.
- As bulk production starts, our Quality Assurance team goes for Pre-Production Inspection.
- At the middle stage of production if result is acceptable and then we go for During Production inspection. Here we check the case pack, carton quality, shipping mark, assortments, presentation etc.
- If the during production inspection result is acceptable then we go for final random inspection and if it is passed, we will approve for the shipment. To ensure quality of the highest standard, we inspect at every stage of the production process. The following Quality & Inspection steps are being currently employed in sourcing and manufacturing:
- Fabric inspection and testing
- Accessories inspection and testing
- Fabric cutting checking
- Pre-production inspection
- During Production inspection.
- Pre-shipment Inspection (Final random inspection)

- Clean manufacturing area– Manufacturing areas are often messy and unorganized. A cluttered work area with wet or greasy floors, and power cords, stinger leads, or cylinder hoses lying around the walkways can increase the risk of avoidable workplace accidents. As a result, it is critical to keep the aisles, walkways, and the work station clean and free from objects and equipment that may cause slips, falls, and fires.
- Use of protective equipment by workers- Manufacturing workers should always wear protective gear when on the facility floor to reduce the possibility of sustaining injuries. We have made it mandatory for metal workers to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety hoods and shoes, earplugs, hard hats, respirators, and full body suits.
- Only qualified workers to enter work station– the area around the work station should be protected using guardrails and barriers, allowing only qualified workers to enter the area. Poorly-maintained guards can cause accidental entry into the area, causing barrier-related injuries to workers who aren’t wearing the right safety gear for the job.
- Regular Training to Labor– Regardless of whether the employee is an apprentice or an expert, he/she is trained to follow the safety protocol, thereby reducing the risk of on-site accidents and injuries. Furthermore, misuse of tools or the lack of expertise can cause serious accidents. Hence, proper training is provided, enabling workers to use the tools as per the safety protocol.
